Responding to the changing needs of the market, Ashfield Healthcare create a new division - Ashfield Intermediate Healthcare

Released: Thursday, 31st May 2007

For over five years Ashfield Healthcare has provided nurse advisor teams to the pharmaceutical industry, continually reshaping and adapting their services to support the ever changing priorities within the NHS. The key priority, as always, is to enhance patient care. This has been consistently achieved through the provision of high quality clinical care and education, delivered by Ashfield Healthcare’s experienced nurse advisors, directly to patients in GP practices and hospitals.

More recently, Ashfield has looked to provide services direct to the NHS working with PCT's and hospitals to meet the new objectives set out in the Department of Health's white paper; Ashfield Intermediate Healthcare was created as a new division to focus on providing high quality, innovative, patient focused, community based, nurse led healthcare.

As a result, Ashfield Intermediate Healthcare needed to be actively promoted to NHS stakeholders. With an exhibition booked and with deadlines looming, Andy Holgate, Business Development Director for Ashfield Healthcare, recommended that Gill Heppell, Head of Ashfield Intermediate Healthcare, contact Quiet Storm.

Gill Heppell leading on the delivery of the new service, together with Hania Oborska, a marketing consultant specialising in this complex sector, met with Quiet Storm.

Gill said that...

“The concept of the service being offered is a difficult one to communicate to anyone outside of the healthcare sector. After explaining how we wished to provide nursing solutions to the NHS, we discussed the best way of delivering this information to our target audience.”

Quiet Storm were proactive and suggested a variety of methods. Working together, we were able to concentrate our attention as to which tools were going to have the most effective impact. The marketing tools decided upon were a brochure and DVD to inform prospects of the range of services available; plus roller banners and an iPod free prize draw for the exhibition.

Gill went on to say; “The finished materials looked fantastic and the exhibition was a real success. The material produced clearly communicated what services we offered; that we could help avoid unnecessary admissions and help deliver early patient discharge through our community based, nurse led healthcare.”

Hania Oborska concluded; “In my profession I work with lots of design companies, I found Quiet Storm very professional and the services they offer comprehensive. Working with a single supplier for the video, brochure and exhibition materials made things much easier - especially considering the tight timescales.”
