DTI E-commerce Awards success

When contracted by DTI as the UK online for Business Regional Co-ordinator, East Midlands, Diane Simpson needed to host the E-commerce Business Awards. The awards were to highlight the need for companies to develop their online presence by spotlighting those businesses who are achieving success in this area.

The awards evening was held at the Colwick Hall Hotel, Nottingham and was attended by the short listed companies, awards sponsors and the media. As a regional element of the national awards the category winners automatically went on to take part in the National E-commerce Business Awards event in London.

The challenge was to enable the audience to understand how the finalists had developed and improved their business offering through incorporating the internet.

The presentation was designed to incorporated a short video of each finalist with voice over script explaining the technology and customer benefits in detail.

Feedback from the delegates on the evening outlined the importance of the video in helping them to understand why each short listed company was selected.

The videos demonstrate each businesses specific application involving the internet within their service offering. They could also be used to show other companies ways in which they could develop their e-business opportunities.

Quiet Storm managed the whole evenings presentation and worked with a partner company to provide the audio visual equipment and stage set for the high profile event. This helped Diane focus on other aspects of the awards evening and streamlined communications between all parties.
