Finalists congratulate Quiet Storm on Business Awards dynamic AV production

Released: Friday, 18th February 2005

But while hers was a new face at the ceremony organised by myb events, Quiet Storm’s On Show team was in its third year of creating the all-important audio visual presentations of the short-listed companies for the six awards.

This familiarity with the event, however, did not produce any complacency, as Liz Coleman, Conference and Events Co-ordinator with myb events confirmed.

“Every one of the 18 finalists filmed by Quiet Storm was more than happy with the way the work was done and the finished result,” Liz said.

“The Quiet Storm team built up a rapport with the companies that I feel helped the final videos work as well as they did.”

One of the finalists and eventual award winners, Malcolm Watson  Excellence in Export Achievement winner of Chesterfield-based Container Components Europe, agreed. “I was not looking forward to the filming one bit,” Malcolm confessed. “But the Quiet Storm team did a great job and I was extremely happy with the final result.

“I sat there on the awards night and asked myself if I would be happy with people seeing me in that presentation and the answer was yes.”

Eighteen finalists spread throughout Derbyshire from Doveholes and Chesterfield in the north through the city of Derby to Borrowash, Bakewell and Ilkeston were filmed in their office and other working environments.

The recordings were edited by Quiet Storm to create one minute slots for each company set within an event template, providing an overview of each finalist which was shown at the event in Derby’s Assembly Rooms.
