The need to communicate a strategy to an audience can be very difficult, particularly when all that there is to see is a document.

Presentation Brings Strategy to Life

Released: Monday, 9th January 2006

Once the document – which will have taken a considerable amount of planning and writing - is complete, but before its implementation gets underway, there is usually a need to describe and explain its contents to various audiences and, of course, to engage them.

This was the position in which celebrated independent school Repton, and its Preparatory School, Foremarke Hall, found themselves.

The Governors and Headmasters had completed an ambitious Development Plan that they wished to present to parents, prospective parents and other friends of the two schools.

The key objective was to promote Repton School and Foremarke Hall and they had decided that they would like to use the latest technology in presenting the information. They also required literature for the audience members to take away with them and which subsequently could be used independently to mail to former pupils and other relevant parties.

Time for the project was limited and Repton required a company that could project manage and deliver the entire solution. They decided that Quiet Storm had the experience and in-house resources to do so.

The solution that Quiet Storm provided was a PowerPoint presentation that included video footage. Quiet Storm created drawings and used generic images of building types together with interviews with key members of staff from the schools to bring the plan to life.

The newsletters produced reflected the content and style of the presentations, enabling guests to take the key information away with them and peruse it at their leisure. To ensure a theme was maintained throughout, Quiet Storm also designed and produced invitation cards to the presentations.

Five presentations using the Quiet Storm materials were made and were well received by the range of audiences concerned.

Commenting on the project, Robert Holroyd, Headmaster of Repton School, said: “We asked Quiet Storm to bring an imaginative and high quality finish to the presentation of our Development Plan and were delighted with the service they provided.

“We were looking for a "one-stop" company that could offer the whole package from video shoots right through to the completed printed literature and Quiet Storm fitted this bill.

“They also worked to an extremely tight deadline with a consistently friendly and professional level of service. The skills they brought to our project were instrumental in ensuring success."
