Product price book redesign reduces production cost and improves useability

Released: Tuesday, 19th October 2004

Rather than producing a separate list for each range, Applied Energy decided that the natural synergy between the brands and the fact that they share many of the same customers meant they needed to be in a single document.

Quiet Storm was approached and came up with an easy to use A5 document that listed in excess of 2,500 products. Colour co-ordination has been used to simplify brand recognition in the document that provides product illustrations, trade prices, sizes and main catalogue references for all Creda heating, Redring and Xpelair products.

Thanks to Quiet Storm's in-house digital print capability a small number of the full-colour 28-page booklets could be produced for a conference in September and then modifications suggested at this event could be incorporated before the 7,500 litho print run went ahead.

Steve Noble, Trade Sector Marketing Manager at Applied Energy, said: "Quiet Storm met the brief 100 per cent, producing a functional, informative document that is attractive too.

"Our Field Sales Team are very pleased with it, it has provided them with a straightforward, single point of referent to the entire Applied Energy range."

In addition to the copies being used by Applied Energy's staff, thousands of copies have been distributed to electrical wholesalers, builders' merchants and other stockists UK-wide.
