Start-up business benefits from professionally designed direct mail

Released: Monday, 7th February 2005

“What I offer is a creative type of photography called reportage,” Rachel says. “It is not a traditional approach and tends to appeal to creative couples.

“For the image I wanted something that reflected that modern approach and also something that hinted at a feminine slant in the work. It is usually the bride that chooses the photographer so I wanted a look that would appeal to women.

“It was also important that the name Rachel Jones was prominent, to provide the feeling of the service being designer-led.”

Even though Rachel admits she knew what she wanted to achieve visually with the image, she says she was still very pleasantly surprised at how well Quiet Storm turned her brief into reality.

“I was given so many choices and even though I had provided a detailed brief I was still surprised at the level of the work. I could not have done it myself,” she laughs.

Rachel says she is very pleased with the image and a direct marketing postcard Quiet Storm has produced for her.

“It works really well,” she says. “For a business like mine it is really important to have as much high quality visual reference as possible and Quiet Storm has certainly helped with this.”
