Website delivers RSA environment award accreditation

The Rt Hon. Margaret Beckett MP, Secretary of State, has launched an accreditation scheme for environmental and sustainable development awards

Released: Sunday, 31st August 2003

It has been introduced by the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) to ensure that “green” awards - of which there are currently more than 300 available in the UK - are run professionally and to a high standard.

With emphasis on quality and applicants expected to be high profile businesses, organisations and individuals, it was important that the logo, website and certificate for the accreditation scheme look and operate professionally.

Quiet Storm was asked to put forward ideas for these and succeeded in creating a look and a site that the RSA felt was appropriate.

By visiting accred.environmentawards.net, award scheme operators can download a guide to gaining RSA accreditation, the application pack and information on how the scheme operates.

Sir John Harman, Environment Agency Chairman, accepted the very first Quiet Storm-designed certificate from Margaret Beckett MP on behalf of the Water Efficiency Awards.

Simon Fordham, Centre Director for the RSA said: “It is important that the items associated with the accreditation scheme are of a high standard and Quiet Storm did an excellent job.”
