Wolsey's sales brochure goes digital and is more up to date as a result

Released: Monday, 15th November 2004

When planning its Spring/Summer 2005 sales brochure, historic Leicester-based manufacturer of underwear, socks, sleepwear and knitwear Wolsey Ltd. wanted to leave as short a time as possible between going to print and the conference at which the document was to be distributed.

"We deliberately wanted the time frame to be limited to allow us to include the most up to date information available," Marketing Manager Martin Francis explained.

From previous conversations with Quiet Storm, Martin was aware that the company has in-house digital print technology, ideal for fast turnaround on low volume print jobs.

Consequently, he brought the A4 full colour, 60-page document to Quiet Storm for printing.

"In the past Wolsey had not printed its sales brochure until after the sales conference. This time we wanted to indicate that we have moved forward and that strategically we are forward-thinking and forward-planning effectively," Martin said.

After printing the document in-house, Quiet Storm collated it into ring binder folders, having it ready to give to the sales team and key account personnel on the day of the conference.

"There were no problems at all and it worked very well," Martin Francis concluded.
