The Active Support Agreement is ideal for companies or organisations whose websites perform a key role in their day-to-day communication activities and where internal resources require specialist support in this area.

Guaranteed and Prioritised Technical Time for Active Support Clients
An Active Support Agreement with Quiet Storm guarantees you a minimum of 8 hours (or more as contracted) technical time within a calendar month.
The ‘Active Support’ guarantees that your requests will take priority over non-active support clients.
- Four Hour Response - Our aim is to respond to any ‘Active’ support agreement request within four working hours and, wherever possible, complete the task. If this is not possible then you will receive an email detailing why it is not possible and what course of action may be taken.
- Flexible Request and Response Procedures - The ‘Active’ support agreement details how you would like to work, and procedures are set out within the contract on that basis. For instance, you may wish to phone through instructions, ‘go live’ without written consent, etc.
- No Purchase Order Required - The ‘Active’ support agreement negates the requirement of a purchase order for every request made. A live job bag is raised automatically every month, which reduces the time taken to schedule the work and record any tasks carried out.
Active Support Task Tracker
The Task Tracker is designed to help you prioritise the development you wish to be carried out on your website(s). This is free to all Active Support Agreement clients.
The Task Tracker is a user-friendly tool that provides you with the ability to schedule and prioritise work to be carried out on your website so that you can efficiently manage the allocated hours within your 'Active Support Agreement.
The Task Tracker is located in the ‘On-Line’ area of your Knowledge Bank.
FREE use of Quiet Storm’s email software ‘MailBlast’
All Active Support clients will now be entitled FREE use of Quiet Storm’s email software ‘MailBlast’ – the normal rate for non-active support clients is £150 per calendar month.
The benefits of using MailBlast over print based media is that it allows you to track the response and manage your opt-in mailing lists.

FREE Website Development and Website Management Meetings
- Strategic Web Roadmap Development Meetings - all Active Support clients are entitled to strategic web roadmap development meetings. This includes creating and reviewing a web roadmap, a web marketing strategy and website development proposals. We are offering 3 meetings per year, as required.
- Monthly Meetings - Within the Active Support Agreement, we offer a range of 1-hour monthly meetings to be alternately based at the client's and Quiet Storm's premises, as required.
We believe that these meetings will improve the development process as office-based staff from both companies can participate on a regular basis. This inclusion promotes the website within your company and provides Quiet Storm programmers and support staff who work on your website the chance to discuss ideas with you.
These meetings must be requested by the Active Support client and a set of dates arranged at the beginning of the year, wherever possible.
Costs
The initial contract is based upon 8 hours per month and a minimum of 12 months this equates to a monthly spend of £500 (£6000 pa). After the first year, either party may cancel the agreement with one month advance notification in writing.
Additional time may be purchased at the same rate as and when required, so we don’t need you to commit to any more hours.
The fact is, that investing in your website’s continual development, will actually make your website work harder for you and you will see a greater return on your initial investment. Other cost benefits include:
- Reduction in Rates - ‘Active’ support agreement units are allocated in 15 minute blocks and at a rate equating to £62.50 per hour. (‘Adhoc’ support work is billed in one-hour blocks at a rate equating to £90.00 per unit.)
- Discounted rates for chargeable extras – As an Active Support client your agreement also offers you discounts on some hosting related chargeable 'extras' such as domain name registrations and renewals (a full list of these is available on request).
- Multiple Sites on a Single Account - We have many clients who have multiple sites developed by Quiet Storm, all of which may be supported through a single 'Active' support agreement.
- Fixed Costs - The ‘Active’ support agreement enables you to budget for the development of the website and have a process for the management and implementation of any unforeseen changes.
