Home page & navigation

This is your shop window to the world, it needs to provide the answers to any key questions a potential visitor may have in a few seconds or they will move on. It must provide visible evidence that the website is continually being updated to encourage repeat visits and must be quick to download and be accessible to your target audience; this means we need to design the code to reflect their technology and access speed.

Home page essentials
• Introduction to your company or organisation. This page must convey what it is that you offer and to whom, so that any visitor may quickly ascertain that they are interested. There should be some form of short statement or sentence which encapsulates your company or organisation, e.g. “Quiet Storm, visual marketing solutions on-paper, on-line and on-show which help maintain profit margins, increase sales and eliminate cost and overhead.”
