How we can help you make the most of your shell scheme
Shell schemes are a cost effective solution for exhibiting at trade shows.
One popular solution is to graphically populate part of, or your entire shell scheme. We can provide full colour laminate graphics to help bring your stand to life.
Whether you require one or two panels within a stand, or you wish to completely cover your walls with high impact graphics, Quiet Storm can work with you from concept to delivery and with all facilities in-house, from design to delivery we are in complete control of quality and deadlines.

Enter the number of panels you wish to cover on each side of your shell scheme in the boxes below.
Please leave blank any sides that are open aspect.

Please note that the calculator is designed to give you a guide price only and is not an actual quote. The calculation is based upon a panel size of up to 1 metre wide and 2.5 metres high.
Exhibitions are generally a mixture of 'shell scheme' packages and 'space only' options.
If you aren't sure what a shell scheme is then these are the 'pre-fabricated' booths or stands for which you can purchase for the duration of the exhibition. The space only is just that - you buy, or rent the space (with access to power, etc).
The main benefits of shell schemes
The main benefits of choosing a shell scheme option are:
- It's easier than a space only option and you can do everything yourself
All you need to do is turn up and 'dress' your booth. You will need to have pre-ordered power, lighting, ceiling covering, etc. This is done through faxing your order sheet to the contractor appointed by the exhibition organiser. The order form is more often than not a PDF download from the exhibition organiser's website. - Small cheaper package options
Shell schemes usually come in several size options so if you are not sure how good the show is but want to give it a go, then you can test it with a lower cost smaller stand option.
The main drawback of shell schemes
The main drawbacks of choosing a shell scheme are:
- Similar or same general stand as everyone else
Your stand is going to start off like everyone else who has ordered a shell scheme so you need to think about what you can do and put the effort in to make a difference. - Don't really know what you have to work with until you get there
The stands are so close together and the isles are generally fairly crowded, so you need to think of something to get your stand noticed. But whatever it is you decide your crowd puller is, just hope that the stands either side or opposite don't have the same idea. What we are basically saying here is keep your options open.
So how do you make your shell scheme booth stand out?
There are several things you can do to make your exhibition a success (most of which are listed in our book called 'Killer Secrets of Exhibiting') but overall just looking at the visual presence you can get with a shell scheme:
- If it's worth doing - it's worth doing well
An exhibition will put you in front of people who know nothing about your company - get professional help when creating display material. I went to the Southampton Boat Show this year, it took me five minutes to realise I was talking to a sail training company and not Poole Tourism as they hadn't had anything produced for the show - so had put up some great posters supplied by Poole Tourism. I wanted to talk to Poole Tourism - if I was the training company I would be asking myself how many people who wanted to learn to sail had walked passed because they made the same assumption as me. If you can afford to do the event then you can't afford not to get something professionally produced. - Use portable display systems to dress the stand
These will keep the cost down and are designed to be transported easily. (Remember what ever you put up you must take down and after several tiring days on your feet at an exhibition, this is worth keeping in mind).
You can use large graphic panels but think about what you will do with them after the exhibition, they are easily damaged and are difficult to transport and erect.
