Love Business Expo 2016 continues to grow and break attendance records

As the biggest event in the Midlands focused upon the needs of the business owner - Love Business at Donington Park on 11th February 2016 saw just under 4000 visitors attend.

The Expo started with a business event on St Valentines day, 2012. With excellent keynote speakers, over 200 exhibitors and bringing together the regions business support agencies and membership associations - it has grown to a movement which engages people who Love Business and pulls together all the organisations who can help businesses of any size.

Love Business is free and its aim is to help you achieve your business goal - whether that's increased profits, work life balance or something else - here are a few comments about this years expo:

"I cannot believe how many people you have got there and the quality of the exhibitors. I have come away with 2 new suppliers and caught up with a number of contacts. Well done!"

James Wilson
Managing Director
Davidsons Developments Limited
(Construction - Housing Ibstock)

"The quality of the delegates were first-class. As a sponsor, we felt that we achieved great exposure prior to, during and now post-event. It gives us a wider reach than just Leicestershire.  Our target audience is definitely the wider East Midlands so for us, Love Business is a perfect fit and we’ve been delighted to be so involved."

Rob Bracken
General Manager
Leicester Racecourse

"It was a really well attended event with a great buzz around the hall. We’ve got opportunities with several businesses including East Midlands Trains and Boots. We exhibited at Love Business to reach new potential customers and make sales, but the contacts we’ve made are much more varied than we’d hoped for and we’ll definitely be back next year."

Ben Priestley
Head of Solution Sales
Secure Retail Ltd
(Retail Technology Business - Coalville)

----------------------------------------------

"We hosted the Leisure, Retail and Hospitality zone this year so for us, how well the event was attended and the positivity we got about the quality of speakers throughout the day and exhibitors across the expo was fantastic. Lots and lots of great exposure amongst a number of industries. Being part of Love Business for us is all about staying connected with the right people for our business."

Gemma Orton
Managing Director
Mocha Marketing Limited
(Leicester)

"The atmosphere throughout the entire day was excellent.  You could feel a real energy in the hall throughout. We’ve attended a few exhibitions this year but we definitely achieved more genuine enquiries at Love Business which we will now follow up. Whilst we have a nationwide reach, we are very passionate about our local community and so for us, it allows us to maximise on ‘local’.  We are also campaigning to raise £50k at present to give to local charities and so the event will help to raise that all important awareness."

Harry Hill
Business Development Manager
Total Motion
(Vehicle Leasing – Leicester)

"As a first timer to Love Business, I was surprised by the size and quality of the event. Making new contacts and refreshing old contacts with people I’d lost touch with was probably the most valuable thing I got from the day. It’s too easy to sat glued to your desk, attending events like Love Business reminds you business is about people and contacts."

Gareth Seymour
Director
Vision Projects Limited
(Commercial Interior Construction, Mountsorrel)

----------------------------------------------

"This year’s Love Business was once again a fantastic showcase and celebration of everything that is great about the East Midlands and its business community. The event is now in its fifth year and this was the biggest and best yet.”

As a business organisation with more than 3,800 members from across Leicestershire and the wider East Midlands region, it’s really important for the Chamber to support events such as Love Business, which bring businesses, support organisations, funders, Government departments, professional services and a host of other industry experts together. Local businesses don’t get many other opportunities throughout the year where all the support they need to succeed is under one roof and the fact that this year’s event was once again so well-attended is testament to how valuable it is viewed by local business owners."

Scott Knowles
Chief Executive of The East Midlands Chamber, (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire)

"Great speakers, a huge variety of exhibitors but the best thing was the number of people - the expo had a real energy about it. I bumped into so many people I knew but had lost contact with, so the best bit was catching up with old business contacts. As a delegate at Love Business I can find new suppliers, make new business contacts, hear great speakers - so the day is a great investment of my time for the business. I think we’ll exhibit next year."

Emma-Jane Wright
Director
M Wright and Sons Ltd
(Engineering Business Quorn)

----------------------------------------------

"I attended Love Business Expo as a speaker and before the invitation I hadn’t heard of the event. What I found was a vibrant buzz of business owners doing business and making connections. I came away from Love Business Expo having listened to some excellent fellow speakers, with several new contacts and energised."

Julia Fancourt
FCIPS, MBA, BA, FinILM, MCIOB.
Head of Procurement (BCM) at Walgreens Boots Alliance

----------------------------------------------

"We’ve exhibited at previous Love Business events but this one had sectors focused zones and felt a step up from the previous years. We always get new customers from exhibiting at Love Business, and I’m confident this years event will generate sales based upon the conversations we’ve had. Attending Love Business keeps us in front of the local business community, and the reach of the event has continued to expand. This puts us in front of lots of new potential customers every year."

Jonathan Smalley
Managing Director

"The Love Business Expo brings all different types of people, industry sectors and support organisations together under one roof for a day. Year on year the feedback is about the connections people make and the buzz people get from attending. The key reason we do it, and people attend, is that it helps you see things from a different perspective. Year on year, Love Business Expo has grown - it can only be that it gives the exhibitors, delegates, sponsors and speakers a great return on their investment."
